Inspired by a "small advertisement" on the streets of Shanghai, the work was printed on the bark of plane tree. As the bark naturally peeled off, the words gradually broke and dissipated, and finally only mottled traces remained. Feng Lai captured the impermanence of life and the poetic essence of existence from it - our existence is like an advertisement on tree bark, which will eventually fade, but is there an eternal answer hidden in the fragments？

He transformed the texture of tree bark into design language - imitating the specular fragments of peeled bark, so that the audience could gaze at the "transformed self" in the incomplete reflection; The laser cut bark texture is stacked layer by layer, symbolizing the non-linear flow of time; The English question "Will I shed away?" composed of mirrors directly strikes at the empathy of Eastern and Western audiences towards the essence of life.
