Their award-winning project Blok Three Sisters on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) demonstrates this methodology: three equal-width terrace houses for three sisters, replacing an uninhabitable beach shack, each organised around a central courtyard that drops light into narrow plans, with a double-height portico at the rear opening to the dunes and Pacific. The twelve modules were prefabricated over 24 weeks, ferried to the island in six loads across two consecutive nights between midnight and 4am, with the largest module measuring 15 metres, and craned into place over two days—approximately 50% faster than traditional construction. The project received the 2025 Australian House of the Year award, with the jury citing it as a model for “stealth density” that replaces one house with three units without increasing the scale of the streetscape.
