Project Profile
Co-designed with Vokes and Peters, Blok Belongil is a monolithic coastal dwelling situated on the dunes of Byron Bay. Constructed as six volumetric modules in Brisbane and assembled on-site in a single day, the triangular Tallowwood-clad structure responds directly to strict local coastal erosion overlays. Winner of the 2024 AIA NSW State Award, the demountable home frames a central courtyard, combining factory-precision manufacturing, material durability, and environmental adaptability in an impermanent landscape.
