PABLO is a Shunde-based luxury furniture house where Art Deco geometry meets Eastern material sensibility — nearly four decades of handcraftsmanship distilled into a collection of sofas, chairs, beds, and tables that occupy space with architectural intention. Founded in 1988 and redefined as a design-led atelier under founder Feng Yaoxiang, the studio operates at the intersection of monumental form and meticulous material dialogue, with recent work exhibited at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games cultural programme.

  • HERITAGE · CRAFT · FORM

Where Art Deco Meets Oriental Materiality

Founded in 1988 in Shunde, China’s furniture manufacturing heartland, PABLO has evolved from a heritage workshop into a design-led atelier under founder and chief designer Feng Yaoxiang. The studio’s aesthetic vocabulary draws from the geometric discipline of Art Deco — copper-plated metal frames, piano-key stitching, and calligraphic silhouettes — while grounding each piece in Eastern material traditions. The Triumph Sofa translates the Arc de Triomphe into domestic scale; the Jazz Sofa channels the atmosphere of Shanghai’s French Concession; the Hercules Cup Sofa compresses the precision of a trophy into upholstery form. The result is a collection that reads as interior architecture — objects designed not merely to furnish space but to define it.

  • MATERIAL · DIALOGUE · SURFACE

    The Tactile Language of Craft

PABLO’s material palette operates on a principle of continuous dialogue between metal and hide, structure and surface. Brushed copper-plated frames — finished through proprietary wire-drawing processes — provide geometric punctuation across the collection. The signature “Hexagram Series” leather runs uninterrupted through armrests, backrests, and bases, unified by hand-embedded metal strip detailing. Piano-key stitching extends across upholstery in rhythmic patterns that recall both Art Deco geometry and classical upholstery tradition. The metal edge-closing craft, refined in-house over three decades, resolves the junction between leather and frame with seamless precision — a technical signature visible across the Jazz, Eiffel, and Infinity series.

  • DESIGN · INTEGRATION · PRESENCE

    Spatial Integration & Bespoke Programme

Beyond standard collections, PABLO operates a comprehensive bespoke service for luxury residences, hospitality projects, and high-end commercial environments. Their six-stage methodology moves from needs assessment through set design proposal, production, delivery, and installation — ensuring each project achieves what the studio terms “ultimate presence.” The Pablo Gallery, inaugurated in 2020 in Shunde, extends this philosophy into a curated exhibition space where furniture collections and contemporary art converge. Recent collaborations include the “Shunde · Loong” art piece with sculptor Lu Biaobiao, presented at Milan Design Week, and the “Hidden Treasure: Staadder” exhibition — signalling the brand’s sustained investment in the dialogue between art object and functional design.
