Spring Stream
"The cassia blossoms fall in the quiet of the day, the spring mountains are empty in the stillness of the night. The rising moon startles the mountain birds, their cries echoing in the spring stream." Like a spring mountain stream, the murmuring water is full of life. The overall design is elegant and tranquil. The fabric texture of the drawers and the flowing, semi-circular curves are like the startled birds' cries, adding layers to the tranquility and soul to the elegance.
The design is inspired by the elegant curves of the eaves of Song Dynasty architecture—that light arc, like a spring mountain stream flowing among the rocks, dynamic within stillness, powerful within curve. Imported fabric covers the drawers, its soft, warm color tone like morning mist, the simple pattern presenting a delicate, knitted texture, touching like clouds. The small tapering design on both sides is a modern interpretation of the "recessed" technique of Song Dynasty architecture; the oval mirror with its solid wood frame and metal clasp petals shows meticulous craftsmanship in the details. The floating design makes the cabinet appear light, as if perched on the wall, echoing the "ethereal" aesthetic pursued by Song Dynasty design. Fabric and wood, curves and lines, traditional craftsmanship and modern functionality converge here to form a flowing spring stream.
