Borrowing the classic imagery of Li Shangyin's "The brocade zither has fifty strings for no reason," the design points to a beautiful yet subtle, rich yet restrained emotion.
Like the brocade zither, its exterior is warm and gentle, yet its interior holds strings; giving the product a story that can be "heard."
The brocade zither is beautiful, its strings hidden within. The wood veneer inlay on the drawers is arranged in an orderly fashion like zither strings, the hand-stitched textures stretching like banana leaves, undulating like mountains, possessing a natural rhythm. The open central area uses art glass to create a hazy effect, forming a "concave" structure with the closed drawers on both sides—the solid wood grain is warm and substantial, the glass ethereal and airy, like the blank space in Song Dynasty paintings, giving the space breath. The mother-of-pearl handles are warm and smooth like jade, their oval shape conforming to the curvature of the door panels, touching them like caressing a pearl; the metal buckle decorations are outlined with delicate lines using etching techniques. The rectangular mirror has rounded corners, echoing the rounded beauty of Song Dynasty furniture; its foldable design accommodates use from multiple angles. Warm on the outside, strings within—the brocade zither is silent, yet it can be heard.
